The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Derata slips a jab and a cross from Macino.
Derata looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Macino is fending him off so far but Derata persists. Nope, Macino circles away and we're back to standing.
Macino lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Derata circles away quickly and effectively.
Derata moves to clinch but Macino breaks away
and Macino counters with a two punch combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Derata fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Macino stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Macino wants it to stay on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Benjamin Derata. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Macino misses the shot to the body.
Macino thuds a left hand into Derata's body.
Derata looks to score with a jab to the body but Macino is just out of range.

Macino lands a left and a right that send Derata crashing to the mat, dazed. Macino thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Macino keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Derata is breathing heavily.
Derata fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Macino tries to bum rush Derata with a series of wild strikes but Derata uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Macino scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Derata doesn't seem bothered though.
Macino attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Macino moves into range and connects with a jab.

Macino throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Derata.
Macino drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Derata's head, knocking him out cold! Macino is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.
