Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Jaquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Davis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Jaquez gets tackled into the cage by Davis. Davis maintains the clinch.

Jaquez breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Phil Davis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jaquez fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Davis shoots for a takedown but Jaquez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jaquez looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.

Jaquez gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Davis to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Jaquez is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Davis is controlling him.

Davis controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Davis postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Jaquez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Davis had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jaquez defends it easily.

Jaquez stands up and waves to Davis to follow him.
Jaquez tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Davis looks for a takedown but Jaquez sprawls well.
Jaquez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Davis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jaquez circles away.

Davis shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jaquez as he jumps to the side.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Davis feints and as Jaquez raises his hands in defense, Davis changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Davis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Jaquez lands a nice leg kick that just misses Davis's sensitive parts.

Jaquez tries to bum rush Davis with a series of wild strikes but Davis uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
