PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Eric Lee (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Shaw's choice of entrance music: Body Head Bangerz - Can't Be Touched. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Jeff Smith and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lee lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Shaw circles away quickly and effectively.
A looping hook to the body misses from Lee. Shaw does a little dance to reset his feet.
Shaw avoids a kick to the body.
Lee blocks a leg kick.
A head kick misses from Lee.
Shaw lands a right hook to the body.
Shaw tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Shaw connects with a good right hand that stumbles Lee. Lee circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Shaw counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Shaw will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Lee throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Shaw tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lee is in Shaw's guard.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Lee will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Lee has control of Shaw's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Shaw regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Lee is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Shaw has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Shaw!

Oh Lee is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Shaw throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
