Barnett has chosen canceled forever 125 as his entrance music. Both these guys are coming into the fight with injuries so let's see if that has a bearing on the fight. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Barton tries to land a front kick but Barnett steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Barnett fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Barton manages to avoid it.

Barton will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Barton throws a head kick but Barnett moves out of range.
Barton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Barton there as he acknowledges the shot.

Barton closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Barnett's guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
