The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGrath closes the distance and clinches up with Cheung Pak, looking for a takedown. McGrath pushes Cheung Pak against the cage but Cheung Pak circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGrath looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
McGrath will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Cheung Pak tries to bum rush McGrath with a series of wild strikes but McGrath uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

McGrath closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Cheung Pak to the mat! Cheung Pak manages to get full guard.
McGrath will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Cheung Pak throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! McGrath escapes and throws Cheung Pak's legs to the side, diving into side control!

McGrath really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

McGrath has control of Cheung Pak's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Cheung Pak regains control of the situation pretty easily.

McGrath wants to finish this one by submission but Cheung Pak is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from McGrath.
McGrath cracks Cheung Pak with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
