Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gerald Richardson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kamui Salvador!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Felipe Paraventi and Luis Engracia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Richardson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Salvador sprawls well initially but Richardson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Salvador looks like he's trying to stand up.
Salvador really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Richardson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Richardson wants to stand up but Salvador is controlling the position.
Salvador is trying to maintain the position but Richardson is very close to passing his half guard.
Richardson looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Richardson is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Salvador can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Richardson controls the pace.

Kamui Salvador showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

and Salvador counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
No luck for Richardson with that takedown attempt.

Both fighters circling a little - Richardson finishes the exchange with a kick to the body.

and Salvador counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Richardson is lucky that one didn't land flush.

and Salvador counters with a head kick. That will keep Richardson thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Salvador must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Salvador stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Richardson swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kamui Salvador comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Salvador has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
