Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Carlton Banks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregory Jules (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Banks's entrance music is It's Not Unusual. A fine choice. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Banks buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Jules wants to clinch up but Banks keeps it at a distance.

Jules doesn't manage to clinch there - Banks circles away.

Banks fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Jules manages to avoid it.

Banks uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jules has time to react.
Banks lands with a nice combination. Jules backs away looking to recover.
Banks slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Banks lands with a thumping leg kick.
Banks scores with a nice right hand.
Jules's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Banks connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Jules scrambles back to his feet.

Jules pushes Banks up against the cage in a clinch.
Banks struggles to land a body shot inside as Jules controls his hands.

Jules has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Banks uses from the top position.

Banks is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Jules has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Banks is looking to defend but Jules has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Banks! Jules pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Banks taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Gregory Jules! Gregory Jules retains his lightweight title!
Gregory Jules really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that REAL LIFE CLOTHING LINE - 90% Laundry logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
