Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Vernon Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pedro Fuentes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fuentes has chosen Transplants - Killafornia as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Fuentes!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuentes fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Turner.
Fuentes throws a head kick that misses.
Turner darts in trying to clinch
and Fuentes counters with a nice low kick that buckles Turner's knee momentarily.
Turner tries to score a power double leg takedown but Fuentes sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Turner somewhat.
Turner works the jab nicely.
Fuentes fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Turner is out of range.
The fighters circle momentarily. Fuentes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Pedro Fuentes hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

A jab lands there for Turner.
Fuentes has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Turner finds it's way round the side to connect with Fuentes's head.
Fuentes stalks Turner and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Turner's face. Turner staggers backwards, shaken.
Turner chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Fuentes can pounce on him.

Fuentes scores with the left hand. Turner knows he should have avoided that one.
Fuentes tried to score with a low kick but Turner checks it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Turner throws a hook but Fuentes blocks it.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Turner crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Fuentes - the referee stops the clock and Turner gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Fuentes. Turner manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.
