The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mafi Jr fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mafi Jr throws a sloppy head kick and McBlargo moves out of range easily.
Mafi Jr moves in looking to clinch but McBlargo pushes him off.
No luck for McBlargo with that takedown attempt.

Mafi Jr has managed to clinch.
Mafi Jr tries to pull guard but McBlargo won't allow it.
Mafi Jr tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. McBlargo smiles and moves away.

McBlargo feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
McBlargo advances position into side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McBlargo thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

McBlargo working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

McBlargo prevents Mafi Jr from escaping the position.
Mafi Jr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McBlargo on the ground.

McBlargo goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mafi Jr turns into him and now he's in McBlargo's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Mafi Jr is standing up over McBlargo. McBlargo looks to escape but Mafi Jr dives into side control.
Mafi Jr is trying to ground and pound but McBlargo uses the momentary lack of control by Mafi Jr to regain half guard.

McBlargo wants to stand up but Mafi Jr is controlling him.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Mafi Jr throws an elbow that misses. McBlargo uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mafi Jr's guard. Nice move by McBlargo!
Mafi Jr is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
McBlargo advances to half guard.

McBlargo is working for a kimura but Mafi Jr is defending it quite comfortably.
McBlargo wants to pass to mount but Mafi Jr is defending the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Mafi Jr shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. McBlargo eats them both and turns towards Mafi Jr to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

McBlargo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than McBlargo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

McBlargo quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for McBlargo but it's paid off an Mafi Jr is forced to tap! Nice work by McBlargo.
