Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Maxim Pocherniayev (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robin Van Herdsigin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maxim Pocherniayev!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robin Van Herdsigin!
The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Paulsen Ambrosius and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Van Herdsigin shoots in and bounces Pocherniayev off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Van Herdsigin not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Van Herdsigin has momentary wrist control but Pocherniayev slips an elbow through the middle.
Pocherniayev postures up in Van Herdsigin's guard and throws a big left but Van Herdsigin blocks it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pocherniayev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Van Herdsigin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pocherniayev gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Pocherniayev accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Pocherniayev is looking to work some ground and pound but Van Herdsigin has wrist control.

Pocherniayev sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Van Herdsigin's guard.
Pocherniayev is looking to take a break and control but Van Herdsigin is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Pocherniayev is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Van Herdsigin is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Pocherniayev thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Van Herdsigin is staying active underneath Pocherniayev, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Van Herdsigin wants to control but Pocherniayev is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Van Herdsigin is not content to let Pocherniayev control the position.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Van Herdsigin has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Pocherniayev is trying to keep an underhook but Van Herdsigin manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Pocherniayev has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Van Herdsigin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Pocherniayev tries to avoid it but Van Herdsigin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Pocherniayev to the ground. Pocherniayev escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Van Herdsigin is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pocherniayev's half guard.

Pocherniayev is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Pocherniayev is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Van Herdsigin defends well.

Pocherniayev has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Van Herdsigin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pocherniayev.

Van Herdsigin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pocherniayev. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Robin Van Herdsigin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Van Herdsigin dives in and grabs Pocherniayev's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pocherniayev pushes down on Van Herdsigin's head and hops out.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Van Herdsigin got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pocherniayev has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Van Herdsigin has managed to get both his arms back between Pocherniayev's legs - danger averted.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pocherniayev has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Van Herdsigin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

And that's the end of the fight!
Maxim Pocherniayev showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Van Herdsigin has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
