Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Dores (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Masaki Sumitani (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sumitani looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ground and pound from Sumitani.
Dores is trying to stand.
Sumitani content to control rather than advance.
Dores keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sumitani in particular looking to stall.
It looks like Sumitani might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Masaki Sumitani has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Sumitani slaps away a takedown attempt from Dores, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Dores is breathing heavily.
Dores fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Sumitani lands a left and a right that send Dores crashing to the mat, dazed. Sumitani thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Dores is rocked!

It looks like Jamie Dores has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Sumitani lands a huge takedown. Dores is out but the ref is slow to react and Sumitani lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. Dores lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
