Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Toa Kiuga (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lenikonu Palowunu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kiuga's entrance music is Wish. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Toa Kiuga!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lenikonu Palowunu!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Daniel Franklin and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiuga swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Kiuga lands a slapping body shot.
Palowunu avoids the body shot from Kiuga.
Kiuga comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A combination from Kiuga does no damage.
Kiuga scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kiuga throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Palowunu counters with a body kick that stops Kiuga in his tracks momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kiuga misses the body punch
and Palowunu counters with a thumping low kick.
Palowunu scores with a kick to the body.
Palowunu slips a jab and a cross from Kiuga.
Palowunu takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.


It looks like Lenikonu Palowunu has been cut.
Palowunu tries to land a leg kick but Kiuga saw it coming and moves away.
An inside leg kick from Palowunu misses.
Toa Kiuga seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kiuga misses with a looping left.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Palowunu throws a push kick but Kiuga slaps the foot to one side.
A chopping leg kick lands by Palowunu.
Palowunu takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kiuga is looking to wear down Palowunu with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.
Palowunu shoots in looking for a takedown. Kiuga tries to sprawl out of it but Palowunu keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kiuga manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kiuga swings for the body but Palowunu moves out of range.
Toa Kiuga is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Palowunu decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Palowunu is trying to advance to mount but he's lost his balance and Kiuga reverses the position - he's now on top in Palowunu's guard.
Kiuga stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Palowunu swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kiuga wants to control from the top but Palowunu keeps moving.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kiuga throws a big elbow that misses.
Kiuga trying to control but Palowunu is working from the bottom.

Toa Kiuga has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Kiuga checks a low kick from Palowunu.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kiuga fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kiuga lands a slapping body shot.
Palowunu takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Kiuga moves into range and connects with a jab.
Kiuga misses with a jab, cross combination.
Palowunu throws a leg kick but Kiuga sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kiuga connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kiuga misses the shot to the body.
Kiuga fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Palowunu looks gassed!
Kiuga scores with a nice head shot.
Kiuga thows a body shot but no joy.
Palowunu uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kiuga.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Palowunu takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Kiuga looks to land a combination but Palowunu avoids it well.
Palowunu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Kiuga blocks a low kick nicely.
A punch combination from Kiuga misses.
Kiuga with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Palowunu shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Kiuga pinned against the cage. Kiuga gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kiuga lands with a right hand.


That has opened up Lenikonu Palowunu's cut even more.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Kiuga misses with a wild combination.
Kiuga lands with a good body shot.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Toa Kiuga dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Lenikonu Palowunu's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kiuga connects with a jab.
Palowunu takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.


The cut above Lenikonu Palowunu's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Toa Kiuga is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Palowunu shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Kiuga defends it nicely.
Kiuga lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Palowunu fails to land the takedown.
Kiuga digs a good hook to Palowunu's body.
Kiuga rushes Palowunu with punches - Palowunu moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Palowunu goes down! Kiuga follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:48 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Toa Kiuga!
