Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Takashi Katsumoto!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Katsumoto avoids a punch combination nicely.
Domine fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Katsumoto drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Domine blocks a low kick nicely.
Domine stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Katsumoto.
Domine takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Katsumoto ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Domine misses with a left hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Domine lands a slapping body shot.
Katsumoto throws a nice outside leg kick.
Domine on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Domine missing with a left hand there. Katsumoto was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Katsumoto blocks a jab.
Domine on the wrong end of a nice hook.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Katsumoto scores with a nice head shot.
Katsumoto delivers a nice body kick.
A solid body kick from Katsumoto.
Domine blocks a head kick by Katsumoto.
Katsumoto dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Domine. That did some damage!
Domine tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Katsumoto manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Katsumoto thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Domine if he has to take too many more of those.
That kick from Katsumoto tenderised Domine's leg. Domine is trying to keep his angry face on.
Domine tries to clinch there but Katsumoto circles away.
Domine misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Katsumoto.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Domine takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Domine defending well as Katsumoto loads up on a big left hand.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Domine throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Domine moves out of range of the strikes.

Katsumoto lands a big head kick that sends Domine tumbling to the mat! Katsumoto takes a step backwards and waves Domine back to his feet - he wants the finish!


Domine is rocked!
Domine is looking to clinch but Katsumoto is avoiding it.
Oh Domine is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Domine misses with an uppercut. Katsumoto saw that one coming.
Domine tries to clinch up.
Domine avoids the head kick by Katsumoto.
Domine gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Katsumoto gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Takashi Katsumoto! Takashi Katsumoto retains his welterweight title!
In his post fight interview, Takashi Katsumoto started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
