PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jon Jones was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Arnold Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jon Jones!
The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Anderson moves in looking to clinch but Jones pushes him off.

Jones closes the distance and clinches.
Anderson is looking to break free of the clinch but Jones has double underhooks.
Anderson tries to break the clinch but Jones is controlling the position.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Jones.
Anderson tries to circle away but Jones has him pinned against the cage.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Jones looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Anderson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Anderson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Anderson wants to stand and escape but instead Jones has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

Anderson fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Jones checks it well.

Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Anderson circles away.

Anderson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jones circles away quickly and effectively.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Anderson tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jones paws at him with a jab and circles away.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arnold Anderson will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Jones pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Anderson taps out and this one is all over!
