Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Matt Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricardo Mitchell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Matt Anderson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ricardo Mitchell!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell swats away the attempt to clinch by Anderson.
Mitchell wants to clinch up but Anderson keeps it at a distance.
Mitchell shoots in for a takedown but Anderson shows good takedown defense.
Mitchell fails in his attempt to clinch.
Mitchell tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Anderson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Mitchell fails with a takedown attempt.

Mitchell feints and as Anderson raises his hands in defense, Mitchell changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Anderson keeping moving, preventing Mitchell from controlling successfully.

Anderson is working an open guard so Mitchell takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Anderson fails with an attempt to clinch.

The crowd cheers as Anderson lands an impressive looking overhand right. Mitchell doesn't seem phased though.
Anderson misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Anderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Mitchell. Mitchell gets slowly back to his feet.

Mitchell rushes Anderson and presses him up against the cage.
Mitchell lands a knee to the head.


It looks like Matt Anderson has been cut.
Mitchell digs a right hand into Anderson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Anderson's gas tank.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Anderson enables Mitchell to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Anderson manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Mitchell controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mitchell is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Mitchell loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Anderson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mitchell manages to get himself to full guard.

Mitchell is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Mitchell has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Anderson works to full guard.

Anderson tries to bum rush Mitchell with a series of wild strikes but Mitchell uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Mitchell takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Ricardo Mitchell hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
