The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Burgan swings and misses with a hook to the body.

Gracie drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Gracie thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Gracie moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Gracie tries to move into full mount but can't pass Burgan's legs.
Burgan manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Burgan postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Gracie to stand up.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Burgan closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Gracie is trying to drag Burgan to the mat but Burgan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Burgan wants the takedown. Gracie is fighting it off but Burgan persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Gracie's guard against the cage.
