The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twice fails in his attempt to clinch.

Twice changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Van Diep fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Van Diep lands with a kick to the temple. Twice shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Van Diep lands a nice looking kick to the body. Twice takes a step back to recover.

Van Diep stuffs the takedown attempt from Twice. Twice gets slowly back to his feet.
Twice steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Van Diep. That one must have hurt.

Twice takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Van Diep is trying to break the clinch but Twice has him pressed against the cage.

Van Diep will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Twice up against the cage.

Van Diep wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Twice has him pressed against the cage.

Twice is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Van Diep can't fight it off and eventually Twice manages to take the fight to the floor. Van Diep looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Van Diep has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Twice off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Twice on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Twice feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Twice postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Van Diep scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Twice drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Van Diep is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Twice off and has taken his back!

Can Twice hold on?! Van Diep is landing more strikes to his hapless foe.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Twice shoots in for a double leg but Van Diep sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Twice takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Twice is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Van Diep moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:20 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Thijs Van Diep!
A very excited looking Thijs Van Diep rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
