PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Penguin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zxczxcvva Qweqwe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that King Penguin has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily King Penguin seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qweqwe misses with a head kick.
Penguin could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Penguin gets caught flat footed, as Qweqwe shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Qweqwe stands and throws Penguin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Penguin is letting Qweqwe control him for a moment.
Let's hope that Qweqwe has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Penguin wants to get back to his feet but Qweqwe drags him back down.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zxczxcvva Qweqwe.

Qweqwe moves into the clinch.

Qweqwe escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Qweqwe avoids the head kick by Penguin.

Qweqwe pushes Penguin up against the cage in a clinch.
Nice body punch from Qweqwe.
The referee calls for Qweqwe to work.

Qweqwe jumps guard and drags Penguin to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Qweqwe lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Penguin!
Qweqwe content just to control the position here.

Qweqwe working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Qweqwe gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Qweqwe gets a double leg takedown into Penguin's guard.

Qweqwe prevents Penguin from getting back to his feet.

Qweqwe is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Qweqwe working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Qweqwe forces his way into half guard.

Qweqwe is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Penguin defends it well.

Qweqwe stands up and beckons Penguin to join him on the feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Penguin enables Qweqwe to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Penguin manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Qweqwe accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Qweqwe controls from within his opponent's guard.
Penguin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Qweqwe on the ground.
Penguin is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Zxczxcvva Qweqwe.

Qweqwe drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zxczxcvva Qweqwe dominated that round.
The cut man is working on King Penguin's cut.
That's time! Penguin's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Qweqwe clinches up with Penguin and pushes him back against the cage.

Qweqwe pulls guard effortlessly.
Qweqwe seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Penguin has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Qweqwe has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Penguin can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Penguin might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Qweqwe is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Qweqwe uses his free foot to push down on Penguin's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Penguin.

Penguin is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Qweqwe locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Penguin is forced to tap!
