Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rock Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chad Vonny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Vonny has closed the distance and engaged Johnson in a clinch.
Johnson wants a takedown.

Johnson misses with a takedown attempt - Vonny sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

and Johnson counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vonny's guard now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vonny is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Johnson lands a nice hook to Vonny's body. Vonny takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Vonny is breathing heavily.

Johnson shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Vonny's guard.

Johnson moves into the clinch.

Johnson has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Vonny regains guard immediately.
