The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mather lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

It looks like Alphonse Rosa has been cut.
Mather looks to score with a jab to the body but Rosa is just out of range.
A chopping leg kick lands by Rosa.
Rosa shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Mather defends it nicely.
Mather lands with a hook. Rosa tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Mather connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Rosa's hands.

and Mather counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Oh Rosa is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rosa is breathing heavily.
Rosa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mather is fending him off so far but Rosa persists. Nope, Mather circles away and we're back to standing.

Mather jabs Rosa to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Rosa seems to have got his legs back now.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Mather engages and cracks Rosa with a massive lead left hook - Rosa tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Mather is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
