Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Veldrane Sengir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tauno Taputtaja (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Veldrane Sengir is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sengir gets caught napping as Taputtaja dives in and scores a takedown. Sengir manages to retain guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Taputtaja has gone for a leg lock! Sengir slips out almost immediately though and dives into Taputtaja's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Veldrane Sengir.

Sengir wants to control but Taputtaja passes easily into half guard.

Taputtaja slips a nice elbow through Sengir's hands, connecting with Sengir's forehead.

Taputtaja is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Sengir is just riding it out for now. Taputtaja eventually gives up the hold.
Taputtaja looks to land a strike but Sengir avoids it nicely and regains full guard.

Taputtaja slips nicely into half guard.

Taputtaja is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sengir defends it well.
Taputtaja is figuring out what he wants to do next.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Sengir wants to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Taputtaja fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Sengir avoids it really well and circles away.
Taputtaja misses with a few strikes there.

and Sengir counters with a takedown into side control.
Taputtaja sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Sengir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Taputtaja on the ground.
Sengir is trying to control the action in half guard but Taputtaja is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Taputtaja manages to get to full guard.
Sengir won't allow Taputtaja to sweep him here.
Sengir has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Sengir is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Taputtaja is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Veldrane Sengir.
Taputtaja throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Sengir sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Taputtaja leaves Sengir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Tauno Taputtaja seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nice takedown defense from Taputtaja. No joy for Sengir on that attempt.
Taputtaja throws a right and a left that Sengir avoids nicely.

No luck for Taputtaja with that takedown attempt.

It looks like Veldrane Sengir has been cut.

Sengir tries to clinch up but Taputtaja circles away and keeps his distance.

Taputtaja fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sengir sprawls well initially but Taputtaja persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Taputtaja is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Taputtaja avoids the attempt from Sengir to control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Taputtaja seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Sengir is holding on tight.
Sengir has given up his back here. Will Taputtaja look for the submission or keep pounding away?

Sengir is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Taputtaja tries to get the hooks in deep but Sengir pushed the leg off.
You can see the frustration on Sengir's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Sengir is trying to get back to his feet but Taputtaja has full control of the position and if anything, Sengir has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Taputtaja has got one arm under Sengir's chin. This could be trouble... Sengir trying to control the other hand but Taputtaja gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Sengir has tapped out! The fight is over!
