The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Great enables Fryer to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Great manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Fryer is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Fryer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Great can't keep his opponent in guard - Fryer advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Deep Fryer.
Great throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Great throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fryer.

Fryer feints and as Great raises his hands in defense, Fryer changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Fryer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fryer drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Fryer is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Great's shoulder. That is not cool.

Fryer has an Americana. Great didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Fryer is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Fryer hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
