Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Da Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tetsuhiko Asai (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Da Silva comes to the ring accompanied by Drowning Pool - Bodies (Let The Bodies Hit The Floor) . Tetsuhiko Asai is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tetsuhiko Asai!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Skip Squint.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Asai.
Asai connects with a high kick.
Da Silva shoots in for a double leg but Asai sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Da Silva doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Asai counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Da Silva is lucky that one didn't land flush.


It looks like Anderson Da Silva has been cut.

Asai throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Da Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Asai tries to sprawl out of it but Da Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Asai manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Asai counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Da Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Asai as he jumps to the side.

Da Silva shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Asai sprawls well. Asai wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Da Silva gets slowly back to his feet.

Da Silva feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Anderson Da Silva just wasn't active enough.
Asai tries to close the distance and clinch but Da Silva swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Asai can do anything to dispel that myth.
Asai is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Da Silva is controlling him.
