The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Triton leaves Nijem with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Triton misses with a right hand

and Nijem counters with a single leg into guard. Triton didn't expect that.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.

Triton escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nijem gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Triton is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Nijem defends well.

Triton is still in real trouble! Can Nijem finish him?
Nijem cracks Triton with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
A big strike lands for Nijem! That's really hurt Triton and he's turned his back - Nijem keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Nijem jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!

Ramsey Nijem tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
