Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Stanley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Rose (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rose is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Limp Bizkit - Break Stuff. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rose lands with a right hand.

It looks like Kevin Stanley has been cut.
Stanley throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Rose has managed to clinch.
Stanley on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
With the fighters up against the cage, Rose throws an elbow but misses.

Rose pulls Stanley into guard.
Stanley looking to sit in guard and control but Rose gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Stanley wants to stand up but Rose is controlling him.

Stanley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Stanley has momentary wrist control but Rose slips an elbow through the middle.

Stanley escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rose gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Rose is stalling in the full guard.
Stanley is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Rose throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Stanley is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stanley looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Rose landing with the ground and pound.

Rose stands up and waves to Stanley to follow him.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Rose throws a leg kick that misses.
Rose will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Stanley takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Rose fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Stanley takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Stanley is breathing heavily.
Stanley swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Rose connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Kevin Stanley's cut is getting worse.

Stanley gets tackled into the cage by Rose. Rose maintains the clinch.
Rose lands an elbow just above Stanley 's eye.

Rose lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Rose is taking a breather. Stanley says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Rose working Stanley over with strikes.

Jeez, Kevin Stanley's cut is really nasty now. The referee must be thinking about getting that checked.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Kevin Stanley's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!

Leroy Rose was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
