PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddi Zoom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Matos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Zoom comes to the cage accompanied by Thunder Struck - ACDC. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Buddi Zoom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Charles Matos!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Alexandre Firmino and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zoom shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Matos throws a nice looking combination but Zoom bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Zoom throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Matos's waist but Matos gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Zoom off to one side.
Zoom shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Matos as he jumps to the side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Buddi Zoom. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Matos misses with a wild combination.

Zoom changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Matos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Zoom has hold of Matos's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Matos seems comfortable defending it but Zoom has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Matos is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Matos is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Zoom couldn't care less - he's delighted!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Buddi Zoom!
Buddi Zoom was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
