The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dameshek scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Lavelle doesn't seem bothered though.
Dameshek closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Dameshek lands in his opponent's guard.
Dameshek pushing down on Lavelle's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.

Lavelle really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dameshek. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dameshek is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lavelle has managed to free his arm - good work.
Dameshek is working for a kimura but Lavelle is defending it quite comfortably.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Dameshek is cranking Lavelle's head sideways - that looks painful. He's managed to get his other arm under the chin and this looks bad for Lavelle! He's tightened the choke and Lavelle is tapping out!
