PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between La Vics (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rayce Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that La Vics has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily La Vics seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Nice sprawl there from Vics as Gracie shoots in.
Gracie fails with a takedown attempt.
Vics leaves Gracie with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
La Vics has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rayce Gracie.
A head kick misses from Vics.
Gracie tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vics sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Gracie somewhat.
Gracie shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Vics pinned against the cage. Vics gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Vics shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gracie is trying to defend but Vics finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Vics is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Gracie defends it well.

Vics seems to be looking for submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gracie moves into full guard.

Gracie looking for a guillotine here but Vics defends easily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Vics throwing strikes from guard but Gracie blocks nicely.
Gracie looking for a sweep. Not yet Gracie, not yet.

Gracie has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Vics can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Vics will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vics has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Gracie to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Vics is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Gracie pulls down on the head and he's put Vics to sleep! This one is all over!
