The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Darby lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Vantrell circles away quickly and effectively.
Vantrell shoots in for a takedown but Darby shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Vantrell.
Nice defenses there by Darby.
Vantrell lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Darby backs up against the cage.
Vantrell shoots in but Darby avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Vantrell fails with a takedown attempt.

Vantrell changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Darby tries to avoid it but Vantrell manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Darby to the ground. Darby escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
No joy there for Darby, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
