Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jamii Banana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Killer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jamii Banana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Killer!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Vladimir Khabensky and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Killer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Banana.

Banana closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Killer's guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Banana throws an elbow that misses. Killer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Banana's guard. Nice move by Killer!

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Killer wants to stand but Banana is controlling his posture from full guard.

Killer got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banana has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Killer has managed to get both his arms back between Banana's legs - danger averted.

Killer is pressed up against the ropes. Banana has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Killer down to the mat. Killer avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Banana makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and Killer takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

and Banana decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Killer's guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Killer controls Banana momentarily but Banana frees himself.
Killer keeping moving, preventing Banana from controlling successfully.
Banana sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Killer's guard.
Killer really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Banana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Banana is taking a breather. Killer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Jamii Banana will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the ring so we can get back down to business.

Banana is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Killer can't fight it off and eventually Banana manages to take the fight to the floor. Killer looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Banana has Killer pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Killer manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Banana jumps guard but Killer stands there with Banana around his waist. Banana gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Banana has Killer pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Banana pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Killer tumbling to the mat - Banana dives into Killer's guard.
Killer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Banana gets tackled into the ropes by Killer. Killer maintains the clinch.
Killer lands a damaging elbow.
Killer blocks a punch to the side of the head.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Frank Killer.
I think Banana has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
