Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Wes Welker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richie Yang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Richie Yang!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Welker moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Yang shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Welker as he jumps to the side.
Welker lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Nice jab there from Welker.
Yang will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Yang shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Welker counters with a right hand to the body.
Wes Welker has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richie Yang.

Welker shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Yang is trying to defend but Welker finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Yang is looking for a sweep. Welker is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Welker is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Yang is defending against the submission attempts here by Welker.

Yang is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Welker pulls his head out easily.

Welker is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Welker got a little sloppy there for a moment and Yang has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Welker has managed to get both his arms back between Yang's legs - danger averted.
Welker wants to control from the top but Yang keeps moving.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Welker has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Yang to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Welker is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Yang pulls down on the head and he's put Welker to sleep! This one is all over!
