Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy D (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). D comes to the cage accompanied by AC/DC - TNT. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ford fakes a jab and throws a low kick but D checks it well.
D avoids a punch combination nicely.
Ryan Ford seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ford on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
D misses with a hook.
D has a takedown stuffed.
Ford pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A telegraphed right hand from Ford misses the target.
Ford lands a nice hook to D's body. D takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Ford tries to sprawl but D drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
D seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ford does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
D thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

D takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
D unloads with some shots from mount but Ford bucks and avoids them well.

D fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Ford is rocked!

D pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Ford keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ford throws a series of punches but D avoids them all with ease.

D bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

D has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
D creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Ford is not content to let D control the position.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

D takes a head kick and keeps coming.
D throws a hook but Ford avoids it easily.

Ford gets through D's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

It looks like Billy D has been cut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
D misses with a hook to the ribs.
D throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
D lands a right hand that snaps the head of Ford backwards.

Ford is fighting off a takedown attempt but D is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Ford to the mat. Ford regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

D has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Ford off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

D uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ford.
Ford fakes high and swings low for a body shot but D manages to avoid it.
Ford catches D with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Ford takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
D ducks under a wild hook from Ford.

D closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ford quickly recovers to half guard.
Ryan Ford has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Ford has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. D is working away from the top position though.
D thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Ford's head.
D throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Ford to regain full guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

D is in close to Ford's body, working some short punches and elbows.
D in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
D wants to control from the top but Ford keeps moving.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
D avoids a kick to the body.
Billy D is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

D scores with a jab. Ford acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
D takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ryan Ford seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ford throws a hook to the side of D's head but D sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A big left from D misses.
Ford closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
D wants to clinch.
Ford shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
D dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

And that's the end of the fight!
Billy D showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for D, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
