Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Joao Davi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jesse Mortensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davi fails with a takedown attempt.
Davi shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mortensson as he jumps to the side.
Davi shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mortensson as he avoids it easily.

Mortensson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Davi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Mortensson pinned against the cage. Mortensson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Davi looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mortensson is fending him off so far but Davi persists. Nope, Mortensson circles away and we're back to standing.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Mortensson moves into the clinch successfully.

Joao Davi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Mortensson has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Davi is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Mortensson yanks on the arm and Davi is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Mortensson.
