The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
star closes the distance and clinches up with Pickel, looking for a takedown. star pushes Pickel against the cage but Pickel circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Pickel is looking to clinch.
star jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Pickel is looking to clinch but star is avoiding it.
Pickel tries to clinch but star is having none of it.
star tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Pickel counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Pickel.
Pickel lands a nice knee to the body.
Pickel looking to throw knees to the head but star is blocking nicely.
Pickel lands a knee to the head.
star is trying to stall.
star takes an elbow to the forehead.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Pickel breaks from the clinch.
Pickel throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Pickel wants to clinch but star slips to the side
and star counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Pickel!
star misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Pickel is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. star locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Pickel is forced to tap!
