The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aguri walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Nakamura throws out a leg kick but Aguri moves out of range and Nakamura only half commits.

Aguri tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nakamura was well out of range. Poor timing from Aguri.

Aguri misses with a straight left.
Aguri has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
Decent striking displayed by Aguri there.

Nakamura scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Aguri is working to avoid the ground and pound but Nakamura connects with a decent elbow.

Nakamura is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Aguri has escaped the position, nice work there.

Nakamura is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aguri is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Aguri is pushing Nakamura's head away, looking to escape. Nakamura manages to hold on to the position though.
Nakamura throws an elbow but Aguri slips to the side and avoids it well.
Aguri avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Nakamura.

Aguri takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Nakamura tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nakamura has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aguri is not in a great position here, taking some shots.
Nakamura has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Nakamura throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
