Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Furious George (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Bourne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). George kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Lamb of God - Descending. Bourne comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Going Under by Evanescence kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Furious George!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason Bourne!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
George slips under a jab.
Bourne slaps away a takedown attempt from George, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Bourne throws a head kick but George moves out of range.
Bourne throws a shot from downtown. George moves away and avoids it.
Bourne takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
George fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
George dives in and grabs Bourne's left leg, looking for a takedown. Bourne pushes down on George's head and hops out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Furious George. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bourne fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and George has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
George uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Bourne.

Bourne displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as George throws out the jab.

George fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Bourne sprawls well initially but George persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

George is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Bourne has managed to free his arm - good work.
George has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
George wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bourne keeps working.

George seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

George lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

George thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
George postures up in Bourne's guard and throws a big left but Bourne blocks it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

George is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

Furious George has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
A good leg kick by Bourne.
Bourne fakes a jab and throws a low kick but George checks it well.
George lands with a right hand.
Bourne stuffs the takedown attempt from George. George gets slowly back to his feet.
Bourne throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
George just misses with a punch to the body.

Jason Bourne is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A thudding body kick lands there by Bourne!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Furious George will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Jason Bourne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and George counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Bourne keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Bourne is staying active underneath George, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Bourne wants to get back to full guard.
George not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
George thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Bourne really doesn't want to stay on the ground with George. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
George is nestled in close to Bourne, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Bourne is not content to let George control the position.

Bourne is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of George's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take George's back!
George tries to break free.
Bourne trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure George doesn't escape.
George trying to control the hands but Bourne breaks the grip.
What can George do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
George just trying to survive but Bourne is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
George is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Furious George wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Bourne takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Bourne tests George's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bourne tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
George misses with a hook.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Bourne throws a sloppy head kick and George moves out of range easily.

Bourne with a nice cross.
George takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Bourne tries to clinch but George moves out of range.
George fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bourne avoids it really well and circles away.
Bourne uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by George.
Bourne looks to land a right hand but George moved out of range.

and George counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by George.
Bourne keeping moving, preventing George from controlling successfully.

This has been an exciting period of action!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as George accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bourne looking for a sweep. Not yet Bourne, not yet.
George wants to control from the top but Bourne keeps moving.
George chips away with some ground and pound.
George missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
George looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
George lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Furious George dominated that second round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!


Bourne throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Bourne scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Bourne - that will leave a mark!
The fighters circle, before Bourne throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into George's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Bourne lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:21 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). Jason Bourne!
Jason Bourne decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
