And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mateus Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, John Mangel and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eslay sizes up Gracie with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
A combination from Gracie does no damage.
Eslay looks to land a combination but Gracie avoids it well.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gracie. Eslay does a little dance to reset his feet.
Eslay is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Gracie lands a nice hook to Eslay's body. Eslay takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Gracie throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Eslay crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Gracie - the referee stops the clock and Eslay gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Gracie. Eslay manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Eslay throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Eslay lands with a straight right. Gracie didn't see that one coming.
Eslay swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Gracie.
Gracie fails to land the takedown.
Gracie changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eslay tries to avoid it but Gracie manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eslay to the ground. Eslay escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gracie throws a head kick but Eslay moves out of range.
Hamilton Eslay seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Eslay rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Gracie moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Gracie looks for a takedown but Eslay sprawls well.
Hamilton Eslay has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mateus Gracie.
Gracie throws a sloppy head kick and Eslay moves out of range easily.

Gracie shoots in looking for a takedown. Eslay tries to sprawl out of it but Gracie keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Eslay manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Eslay throws a series of punches but Gracie avoids them all with ease.

Gracie jumps guard but Eslay stands there with Gracie around his waist. Gracie gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Eslay tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Gracie blocks a punch to the side of the head.

Eslay lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Gracie backwards.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Eslay tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow.
Gracie tries to break the clinch but Eslay is controlling the position.
Eslay lands a hook to the side of the head.

Gracie wants to break free but Eslay has control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Eslay wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Eslay slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Gracie is rocked!
Gracie swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Eslay finish him?
Gracie lands a nice leg kick that just misses Eslay's sensitive parts.
Gracie seems to have recovered his senses.
No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Eslay is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Eslay loads up on a big right hand but Gracie slips the punch.

Eslay lands a left and a right that sends Gracie crashing to the canvas! Eslay dives into mount looking to finish!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Gracie is trying desperately to improve position.

Eslay is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Gracie misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Eslay.

Eslay tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gracie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Eslay ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Eslay shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Gracie eats them both and turns towards Eslay to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Eslay throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Hamilton Eslay is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Eslay throws a 1-2 combo that connects squarely on Gracie's jaw, knocking him onto his back! Eslay dives in looking to finish as Gracie flails his arms in a desperate attempt to block Eslay's strikes! Eslay is raining down hammerfists and the ref stops it! Gracie's desperate flailing just didn't constitute intelligent defence. Some people will probably question the ref's decision but Gracie was definitely hurt and the ref saved him from taking unnecessary punishment. A fighter's safety is paramount in this sport.
