Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Jass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ronnie Breivik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ronnie Breivik!
The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Roger Salmon and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hugh Jass seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jass throws a right and a left that Breivik avoids nicely.

Breivik throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Jass stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Breivik has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Breivik lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Jass misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Breivik tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Breivik cracks Jass with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Jass takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Hugh Jass will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Well Jass has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
