Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mickey Henson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Stompe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Henson comes to the cage accompanied by A Warrior's Call by Volbeat. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stompe lands a nice looking body kick.
Stompe has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Henson cracks Stompe with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Henson throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Stompe's waist but Stompe gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Henson off to one side.
Henson lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Henson connects with a single shot there.
Stompe misses with a head kick.

Stompe's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Henson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Stompe scrambles back to his feet.

Henson throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Stompe because Henson loaded up on that one.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Stompe is desperately trying to improve his position but Henson has a good base and remains in mount.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Poor strikes thrown by Henson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Henson looks for a left high kick but can't connect. Henson backs up to catch a breather... no he lunges forward with a huge flying knee that smacks Stompe's temple! It sends Stompe violently to the canvas! The crowd goes nuts as Henson celebrates and the doctors try to help Stompe!
