Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Glen Benton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jakob Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alexander is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Lunatic Fringe. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Benton fails to land the takedown.
Alexander throws a head kick but Benton moves out of range.

Benton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Benton there as he acknowledges the shot.
Alexander throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Benton shoots in looking for a takedown. Alexander tries to sprawl out of it but Benton keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Alexander manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Alexander will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Benton takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Alexander tries to move into range but Benton moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

Benton shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Alexander sprawls well. Alexander wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Benton gets slowly back to his feet.

Benton dives in and grabs Alexander's left leg, looking for a takedown. Alexander pushes down on Benton's head and hops out.
Alexander connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Alexander misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Alexander defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Benton.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Alexander in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.

Benton rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alexander moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Alexander thuds his right hand into Benton's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Benton is rocked!
Alexander lunges in with a left hook that violently twists Benton head around and knocks him out cold! Alexander hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
