Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Owen William!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Adrian Desper!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Anni Minnemäki and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
William tries to clinch
and Desper counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for William!
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
William tries to hold on but Desper pushes him away.
William tries to buck Desper off but he can't manage it.
Desper has hold of William's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and William manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Desper lands a heavy elbow.
Desper misses with a head shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Desper wants to finish this one by submission but William is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Desper.
Desper lands with some strikes.
Desper throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Desper lands a big shot there that rocks William but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice elbow there by Desper.
William is rocked!
William is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Oh William is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
William holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Desper tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
William seems to have got his legs back now.
Desper is going oldschool here, as he tries to force William to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so William shrugs it off.
William knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Desper on the ground.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Desper loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have William scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Desper land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Desper stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Adrian Desper!
Jumping up and down and very excited, Adrian Desper waved his t-shirt featuring Perkele!'s logo in front of the cameras.
