The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fuller swats away the attempt to clinch by Paneda.
Paneda fails with the takedown.

Fuller throws a head kick that misses.
Fuller takes one to the side of the head.
Fuller sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Paneda looks for a takedown but Fuller sprawls well.
Fuller throws a sloppy head kick and Paneda moves out of range easily.

and Paneda counters with a shoot takedown. Fuller fights it but they end up in guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Fuller has his foot on Paneda's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Paneda works his way back into a safe position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Paneda has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Fuller is proving hard to escape from.

Fuller has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Paneda doesn't defend quickly enough and Fuller has managed to lock this one up! Can Paneda escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Fuller on a fantastic submission victory.
