Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Krundle Bunder!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
11 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Marek Kolec!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kolec takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Kolec fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Bunder throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Kolec shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Bunder as he jumps to the side.

and Bunder counters with a nice uppercut.
Krundle Bunder has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marek Kolec.
Bunder lands a two punch combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Bunder scores with a jab to the body.
Kolec looks gassed!
Bunder throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Kolec shoots in looking for a takedown. Bunder tries to sprawl out of it but Kolec keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Bunder manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Kolec shoots in but no luck this time.
Kolec has his takedown stuffed
and Bunder counters with a right hand to the body.
Bunder throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Bunder closes the distance and pushes Kolec back into the cage.
Bunder lands a body punch in the clinch.
Bunder breaks the clinch.
Bunder tests Kolec's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Bunder pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bunder looks to land a combination but Kolec avoids it well.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Kolec is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bunder sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's one minute gone in the round.
A decent looking cross lands there for Bunder.
Bunder throws a half hearted mid kick.
Bunder rushes Kolec and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Bunder escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Kolec takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Krundle Bunder is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Kolec walks into a straight right hand from Bunder.
Bunder jabs at Kolec's body.
Bunder lands a jab-cross combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kolec drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Bunder keeping full guard, as Kolec tries to pass.
Bunder knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kolec on the ground.
Kolec prevents Bunder from getting back to his feet.
Kolec drops back looking for a leg! Bunder is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Bunder manages to kick Kolec off! Kolec jumps back into Bunder's guard.
Kolec has gone for a leg lock! Bunder slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kolec's guard.
Bunder will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kolec working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Bunder doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Kolec is tightening it up a little... Bunder has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Bunder reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Bunder taps out! Nice BJJ there by Kolec!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Marek Kolec! Marek Kolec retains his super heavyweight title!
A relieved looking Marek Kolec thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
