PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenjiro Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith has chosen Smoke the Fire as his entrance music. On his way into the cage it seems that Kenjiro Chiba has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Kenjiro Chiba seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Johnny Smith!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Summer Carpenter and Hugh Johnson.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chiba throws a head kick but Smith moves out of range.
Chiba slips a jab and a cross from Smith.
Chiba thuds his shin into the meat of Smith's side.
Smith blocks a head kick by Chiba.
Smith takes a kick to the side of the head.

It looks like Johnny Smith has been cut.
Chiba throws a sloppy head kick and Smith moves out of range easily.
Chiba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Chiba tries a head kick but it misses.
Smith throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Chiba's waist but Chiba gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Smith off to one side.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Chiba lands a big head kick that sends Smith tumbling to the mat! Chiba takes a step backwards and waves Smith back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Smith is rocked!
Chiba scores with a nice body kick.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Chiba finish him?
Smith looks gassed!
Smith wants to stay close but Chiba steps back to make room for something. Smith seems frozen to the spot and bam! huge swing of the leg from Chiba and Smith drops like he has been shot! A huge head kick and it's all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Kenjiro Chiba!
