Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Akira Kazama!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ursini circles away from the clinch attempt

and Ursini counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ursini.

Ursini's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Ursini closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kazama circles away.
Kazama misses with the body kick
and Ursini counters with a slapping leg kick.
Ursini displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Kazama throws out the jab.
Kazama will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Kazama throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ursini sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Kazama should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Ursini shoots in and drives through. Kazama sprawls well.
Ursini throws a nice head kick!


It looks like Akira Kazama has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Ursini moves into range and clinches up with Kazama.

Ursini successfully pulls guard.
Kazama wanted to stand there but Ursini had control of the position.
Ursini will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Ursini has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kazama can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Kazama trying to control the position from guard on top but Ursini is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ursini keeping moving, preventing Kazama from controlling successfully.

Kazama stands up and waves to Ursini to follow him.
Ursini uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Kazama.

Ursini drives through and clinches with Kazama against the cage.
Ursini content to slow the pace in the clinch.

Kazama misses with a short punch on the inside.
Ursini looking for a takedown.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Luca Ursini. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ursini ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Ursini no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Kazama lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

Kazama lands a couple of elbows.
Ursini thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ursini is looking to regain half guard here but Kazama keeps moving and retains side control.

Ursini manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Well, if Kazama is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Kazama is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Kazama has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Ursini wants to improve his position but Kazama is controlling well.
Ursini knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kazama on the ground.

Kazama is trying to control the action in half guard but Ursini is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Ursini wants to control but Kazama is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Kazama in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Ursini tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Kazama!
