The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A right-left combo lands from Myers.

It looks like Punski Nub has been cut.
Myers throws a nice looking combination but Nub bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Myers shoots and misses
and Nub counters with a straight right hand.
Deiter Myers seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nub throws a big shot that misses.
Nub loads up on a big right hand but Myers slips the punch.
Nub throws a jab when Myers was well out of range.
Nub looks to score with a jab to the body but Myers is just out of range.
Horrible takedown by Nub or perhaps it was just good defense by Myers which made him look bad.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nub keeps the fight on the outside.

Myers closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Nub quickly recovers to half guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Myers throwing shots but Nub is blocking nicely.
Myers wants to take a breather but Nub is having none of it.
Nub is looking for a sweep. Myers is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Myers working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Nub regains full guard. Nicely done.
Myers postures up and lands a big shot to Nub's brow.

Myers gets to his feet. Nub looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
A punch combination from Myers misses.
Nub closes this distance looking for a takedown but Myers circles away.

Myers lands a head kick that stumbles Nub and the fighters go to the mat.

Nub is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Myers loads up on a big left hand. Nub felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Myers looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Nub can't hide his disappointment, as Myers celebrates the victory.
