PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexander Lara (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Commie Sutra (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Lara might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to 'I Stand Alone' by Godsmack. Sutra is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Immortal Technique - Golpe de Estado. Commie Sutra has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lara misses with a series of wild punches.
Sutra showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Lara.
Sutra throws a head kick that misses.

Lara scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Sutra tries to roll over but Lara keeps him under control.

Sutra kicks Lara off and gets back to his feet.
A combination from Lara does no damage.
Lara fails to land with a series of punches.
Lara will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Lara shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lara misses with a looping right.

Lara scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Sutra is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lara is controlling him well.
Sutra is looking for a sweep.
Sutra keeping his opponent close.
Sutra is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Lara asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Sutra stops Lara from passing to mount.

Sutra throws his opponent off and manages to get back to his feet! Nicely done!
Lara misses with the combination.
Lara is breathing heavily.
Lara looks for a takedown but Sutra sprawls well.
Lara tries to clinch up but Sutra circles away and keeps his distance.
Lara blocks a head kick by Sutra.
Lara throws a series of punches but Sutra avoids them all with ease.
Sutra misses with a head kick.
Some wild striking there from Sutra.

Sutra takes the fight into the clinch.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lara drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Sutra gets the underhooks and prevents it.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Alexander Lara. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Sutra breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Sutra manages to break the clinch.
Lara throws a left and a right that both miss
and Sutra counters with a body kick.
Lara Rushes Sutra and starts throwing punches like they are going out of style! Sutra is up against the cage and has nowhere to go. Lara Piles on the pressure and Sutra crumples to the floor! This one is all over!
