PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Travis Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tom Seltzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Black does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Black tries to clinch up but Seltzer circles away and keeps his distance.
Black tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Seltzer paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fight stays on the outside here - Black looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Black jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Seltzer is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Seltzer and Black has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Black shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Seltzer as he avoids it easily.
Black throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Seltzer.

Seltzer thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Black if he has to take too many more of those.

Black throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Seltzer stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Black feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Seltzer decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Seltzer avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Black decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Black throws and elbow that misses. Seltzer uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Black's guard. Nice move by Seltzer!

Black scrambles and gets back to his feet.

and Seltzer counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Black is lucky that one didn't land flush.

Travis Black's cut is getting worse.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
A jab lands there for Black.
Black is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Seltzer hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
