Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hiro Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Kappa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kappa uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Aoki.
Kappa bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Kappa uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Aoki has time to react.

Aoki swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
A nice leg kick lands there from Kappa.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Kappa blocks a jab.
Aoki moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Kappa bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Kappa catches Aoki with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Kappa throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aoki feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Kappas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Aoki is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Aoki connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Aoki throws a looping overhand right but Kappa ducks down to avoid it.
Kappa throws a hook but Aoki avoids it easily.
Aoki lands a two punch combo.
David Kappa seems to be getting the better of the standup.
A looping hook to the body misses from Kappa. Aoki does a little dance to reset his feet.
Kappa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Aoki.

Aoki takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Aoki throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kappa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aoki tries to avoid it but Kappa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aoki to the ground. Aoki escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Kappa has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

A telegraphed right hand from Aoki misses the target.
Kappa bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Aoki's head.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

and Kappa counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Aoki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Aoki is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Kappa.

Kappa throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kappa moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Aoki throws an off balance right hand
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
Aoki misses with a hook
and Kappa counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Kappa keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Aoki.
Aoki's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Aoki duly obliges.

It looks like David Kappa has been cut.
Kappa closes this distance looking for a takedown but Aoki circles away.

and Kappa counters with a massive uppercut that badly hurts Aoki! He's just covering up as Kappa starts to tee off till the referee steps in and stops the fight!
