Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Reil Bogs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bogs defending well as Alves loads up on a big left hand.

Bogs looks to land a body kick but Alves moved away.
Alves throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

That was a close round but I would say that Reil Bogs will probably get the nod.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Alves might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.

Alves decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Bogs gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Bogs wants to stand up but Alves is controlling him.
Alves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Bogs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Bogs has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Alves has passed into side control.
Bogs is looking to reverse the position.
Alves is looking to take a break and control but Bogs is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Bogs tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Alves throws an elbow but Bogs slips to the side and avoids it well.
Alves works to advance to full mount. Bogs defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Alves has hold of Bogs's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Bogs manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Alves bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bogs's guard.

Alves throws an elbow that misses. Bogs uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Alves's guard. Nice move by Bogs!

Alves escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bogs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alves throws a strike aimed at the side of Bogs's head but Bogs avoids it well.
